Dear Jarrett,
I can not thank you enough for the time you spent with us on Sunday. As
you could tell, all the kids were absolutely thrilled to meet you! You did
an awesome job and we appreciate it so much. I was really happy with the
amount of toys that we collected for the foundation on Sunday - and I hope
that next year we will be able to even do better! I have so much respect for
what your family does - you are truly andinspiration and a blessing to so many.

Jarrett Payton 2010 Bio
Jarrett Payton, son of the late Walter Payton, former Chicago Bears running
back and member of the NFL Hall of Fame. Born on December 26, 1980, and
grew up in Barrington, Illinois and graduated from St. Viator High School.
Jarrett played quarterback, tailback and receiver for St. Viator, which he was
rated the No. 58 overall prospect in the nation by The Sporting News, and
named the No. 5 athlete in the Midwest Region by PrepStar. He didn’t even
start playing football till his junior year in high school. Starting at age 3 Jarrett
played soccer until his sophomore year, which he led the squad to third-place
at the state championship his final year. After high school he went on to
the college level of organized football at the University of Miami, where he
received his degree in liberal arts, and played as tailback and fullback
for the Hurricanes. Jarrett Payton went on to the Tennessee Titans as
running back for two years. He also played for the Amsterdam Admirals
in the NFL Europe as a running back winning the World Bowl Championship.
Jarrett Payton also played in the CFL for the Montreal Alouettes and the
Toronto Argonauts. January 2010 Jarrett signed with the Chicago Slaughter.
Besides honoring his father’s Legacy of "Giving Back", Jarrett’s greatest work is
being able to connect with children and serve as a role model. In conjunction
to this he enjoys speaking at schools in, and around Illinois on the importance
of education, and touching on how “Character Counts”.
